I switched provider from BT to TalkTalk at the end of March 2023, this was confirmed by BT in writing. BT requested I return my equipment using a prepaid postage bag however they never provided a bag, I followed up with BT to confirm my account was closed and asked them to send the prepaid postage bag, BT confirmed my account was closed and sent out the prepaid postage bag and so I returned my equipment. I then received a bill for the month of April, even though BT had confirmed that my account was closed. I contacted BT again who acknowledged their mistake and removed the charge and confirmed the account would be closed within 48 hours. However, a month on, I have received ANOTHER bill from BT for the month of May with a late payment charge for the ‘missed payment’ in April.
How do I resolve this? BT have confirmed the closure of my account on multiple occasions yet I am still receiving bills for services I have not had since March.
