BT reward card

Go to solution

I signed up early Jan for the 900mb package as well, with offer of £175 reward card. After going back-and-forth between BT customer service and purecard customer service, I spent 45 minutes discussing with customer service to be told my order was not eligible for the card and there's nothing that can be done. I tried to escalate but was told this was escalated, consulted and resolved within the call with no email comms/message to me. I am hoping raising this here will get it sorted!

This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts and they do not have account access.

You will need to call BT Billing 0330.1234.150 who should be able to help or raise a complaint which should be able to clarify why you are not eligible.

Thanks for your reply.

I am aware of this. I posted after having spoken to BT customer service team, which I found highly unhelpful; essentially putting the onus on the customer to prove that their order was associated with a reward card. While I placed the order directly on the BT website, the BT customer team member kept insisting that I placed the order through a 3rd party website without providing any proof. I clearly remember this as I spent hours (took pretty much the whole morning on the day I placed the order) assessing my options; to an extend that I spoke with BT who suggested to place order online as reward cards are not eligible if placing order through customer service team.

On the BT community forum, I noticed that multiple members faced the same issue and hence I was hoping that moderator might be able to advise on resolving this. I will be keen to learn from other community members on any resolution they had and how it was arrived at.

Just feel like a trap to attract customer and then leaving them in a limbo. The 30-day period is a nice catch as you would be way past the 14 day cooling-off period to even notice that the reward card is not available to you. So, stuck for 24 months, with regular price rise every April.
