BT sending emails to the wrong address

For the last couple of years I believe BT has been sending all emails to a defunct email address, and I can't figure out how to fix the issue. 

I am actually in the process of moving my Broadband to Plusnet.  During the online application for the switch, Plusnet matched my BT details and said that BT would be sending important information regarding the switch. The app partially displayed an email which ended in "bt.com" which I recognised as my old work address as I am an ex-BT employee.

As an ex-employee this address is obviously now dead.  I checked on MyBT and it's displaying a current email which is correct,  and now I realise that I haven't received any emails from BT since leaving the company a couple of years ago.

How do I fix this?  Although I am leaving BT Broadband I need to retain access to by old btinternet.com email addresses so if there's anything in the email that BT have sent to the dead account regarding that, I need to know about it.

I would contact BT and check what email address they have on the account for email communications and if there is anything that has been not received I believe they should be able to resend those to the correct email address once updated
