Bill for a cancelled account

Hi, very worried. I have received a bill for an account that I closed. Seems almost a year after I moved I have got a bill saying they only just closed it. I emailed twice my closure notice and rang to confirm they had it. Now they say I owe £203! 😞 how do I prove I did the emails and checked please?

This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers.

The only BT Employees are the forum moderators.

Try calling 0330 1234 150

Cancelling an account would have needed to be done by phone only. Its also possible you were still in a contract, and you are being charged cancellation fees.

If it had not been cancelled at the time, then it would have been closed when someone wanted to takeover the line. That may explain the recent closure.
