Broadband service offering reduced pending FTTP?

I am currently on BT Fibre 100 with Halo 3 (FTTC), receiving 147 Mbps and sending 29 Mbps. I am paying £49.35 pm (incl. Landline) so wanted to see how I could reduce the cost (e.g. by going to EE) but I can't find any offering that is for more than 67Mbps/17Mbps which is really odd given that is less than half the service that I have right now. Does the community think that is because BT want to make an upcoming FTTP offering that much more attractive by it being the only way to get >100Mbps in the future?

Not sure that 67Mbps will suit my needs but the best new offering is £20pm cheaper!

I would welcome your thoughts

Re: Broadband service offering reduced pending FTTP?

If you are on F100 but not on FTTP , it’s going to be Gfast , not FTTC , and it’s possible that EE don’t have Gfast as a portfolio product, in fact not that many ISP bother with Gfast when its available.

Thought I saw recently that Gfast had been withdrawn from ale, so that might explain it.

I saw that too - apparently they are removing that capability from those cabinets where it isn't used although current users can stay on it for the meantime....
