Re: By transfer to EE shocking ! MIS-SOLD

Go to solution

So why have I been mis sold and find it so difficult to remain a bt customer and some of you guides do not understand what I require, and should not be kept in their jobs if they cannot do it effectively and in a professional manner.

Bring a loyal customer for 50 yrs I am still awaiting for Mark to phone me from Executive complaints Dept to sort this mess out.

@Derekmurton

That is old news from months ago and the new BT CEO has reversed that decision and BT will continue to provide services to residential customers and no need to move to EE. I am sure that won't stop some sales people still trying to persuade customers to move from BT to EE so they can earn commission.

that’s where breach of contract takes place

As has been pointed out numerous times that is no longer happening.

Even when it was happening users had to agree to be moved to EE if they were still in a fixed term contract or if they were already at the end of their fixed term contract and they wished to renew their fixed term contract they would have to move to EE.

If they did not want to move to EE they were free to leave BT as they were no longer in a contract so there was no breach of contract.

When I rang a week or so ago to renew/get a better price as I was out of contract they were trying to get me over to EE even though I pointed out simply clicking the renew option on BT site was better than the EE price they were trying to get me on, then just went into upsell mode. Are they getting commissions for getting people to switch?

They are on commission regardless of whether you stay with BT or switch to EE.

Maybe getting a bonus for EE as they did seem to be pushing that angle. No haggling on the price though and even the retentions call didn't bother with trying to  knock anything off. Their pitch seemed to be more bad mouthing the opposition.

Re: By transfer to EE shocking ! MIS-SOLD

They offered to keep the same price as bt but that was the contract price with bt they said so we will give you £3 off that price, they replied no we’ve given you £33 off EE price and said I had another 10 days in cooling off period. So blazay about it all. See how it goes and may well cancels 4 people so far couldn’t advise me how to setup WiFi up new equipment.
