Can’t view personalised offers

Every time I want to view my offers to see what’s available an error message shows up saying “Sorry, we can't show you any personalised deals at the moment. But there's nothing to stop you checking out our current offers for broadband, TV, landline and TNT Sports” This is getting really frustrating as I’ve been trying to view my offers for about a month now and I have found no way around it.I would really appreciate if a moderator could help me with this.

Re: Can’t view personalised offers

I think we worked out on this one that it is likely because full fibre Broadband has become available at your address, and they want to talk you through full fibre options rather than just you choosing online.

This is clearly what happened to me. My personalised options disappeared the day full fibre became available at my address, and reappeared the day after my full fibre was installed.

I had to phone the sales line to order (although obviously checked the available deals for 'new customers' first).

What I don't get is why they don't just say that they want you to call up rather than put up that vague message.

Re: Can’t view personalised offers

Hi thanks for the reply, I’m not sure this is the case for me as  full fibre isn’t available in my area as it is rural and won’t be installed until 2026.

Re: Can’t view personalised offers

@Colin_London

No, ordering online through personalised offers is how I was able to be transferred to full fibre. The offers for it appeared alongside an offer for a renewal for my VDSL at its current speed just fine. I didn't need to call anybody.

I don't think that's the reason for the issue here, and Em8 further backs that up because full fibre isn't even available at their address.

  • @c64z86 Not suggesting it has always be this way - just noting my experience and that of others when we discussed it recently. Too much of a coincidence in my case.

Maybe it could be more generalised as ‘they have identified a reason why they want the opportunity to speak to you on a sales call rather than let you do your own thing online’.

have you heard anyone else with a similar problem or is there no way around it?

Re: Can’t view personalised offers

I think you are going to have to call Sales to talk about your options as there does not seem to be any way to get the offers back until you have moved on from your current service setup.

Re: Can’t view personalised offers

I've been unable to view my personalised offers for 2 or 3 months now.

I keep getting messages telling me what a VIP customer I am and to go online and view my offers, when I try all I get is the London backdrop followed by "Sorry, we can't show you any personalised deals at the moment. But there's nothing to stop you checking out our current offers for broadband, TV, landline and TNT Sports."

Not such a VIP then!

Re: Can’t view personalised offers

I have always found that MyBT and its personalised offers to be flaky and goes through various phases of no offers. Offers used to range from moronically pricy to very good. Sometimes I have found that clicking on the Discover BT Halo actually gives the offers. It is true that FTTP offers can muck things up - I was informed for over a month that FTTP was available and to click on the available offers link, which didn't exist by the way which didn't surprise me as I knew that FTTP was never available to me anyway.

It wouldn't surprise me that all the current problems are linked to the "rebranding" and migration to EE.

The system for me is in barking mad mode saying my current package is £73.99 pm and offers Halo 3+ at £76.99pm an increase of £47pm. I am paying £29.99pm so the Halo uplift is correct.
Halo 3 is available for £34.99pm but no mention of any discount as indicated on the spiel to click on said offer.
