Cancelling BT landline where LPA is pending

My Father would like to cancel my Grandmother's landline as she is now permanently in a care home.  The Lasting Power of Attorney is in progress to enable him to deal with affairs, but is there a way of suspending the BT account or requesting cancellation.  We do not need the landline and seems pointless paying for line rental when its no longer required.

Thanks

Linda

@littlerayofdarkness

This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers.

The only BT Employees are the forum moderators. I will ask one of them to help.

Hi @littlerayofdarkness

Welcome and thanks for your posts!

I understand that your Dad is trying to cancel your Nan's landline as she has moved to a care home. You can get in touch and we'll pick up and sort this out from here.  I have sent you a private message with instructions on how you can send us over your details and we'll look into this for you. See: Private messages

Thanks,

Robbie
