Hi, my mother has dementia and is now in a nursing home. She is the main bill payer for the bt landline. As of yet we do not have power of attorney.
How can I change this so my father is the main bill payer in this situation.
Any advice appreciated.

You can change the bank account details via MyBT, so that it comes out of your fathers bank account instead.

Just as a matter of interest, if my father wants to cancel the landline altogether, how does he do that bearing in mind he doesn't have power of attorney yet?
Unfortunately, he won't be able to. Despite being the bill payer, only the account owner is able to cancel.
