Not done yet. Really don't want the phone base station to sit/remain also on my dresser.
Hub - previously I had hub sitting on top of dresser. (see photo) Now it is sitting by 'jugs' on the left but my husband's clock usually sits there as well. I had Hub sat on top, before Digital, as I had read the higher up it goes the better. The main socket is on wall, of the window, by curtain. So - where is the best place for this hub?
To put base station on dresser it might reduce 2 links but if I don't want it there .....
I printed off the tips - sat down to read it and other jobs got in the way. So will do that this evening.
Thank you again to all for the support.
I'm confused. If you site your hub and base station where they were previously, everything should be fine. Was the base station originally plugged into an extension socket rather than the same socket as your old router?
Phone Base Station
My base station is still in the same position as it was before in kitchen - using same wall socket as before. (Previously connector from base station in a phone socket near to same plug. No problems then and no crackling during a phone call or disconnected.)
Where is the best place to locate the hub on dresser?
Thank you.
That's not a cordless base station, it's a Digital Voice adapter, which presumably you have plugged your cordless base station into.
If you plugged your base station directly into the hub, you wouldn't need the adapter.
The best place for the hub is where your old router was previously, as that worked ok.
