Hi,
I have just updated online my email address with BT. Now BT should send me emails to this updated address.
I know want to change mt BT ID username to the same email address. When I try to do this I get this message:
Your username must not already be your BT ID username or recovery email.
The address I am trying to change it to is definitely NOT already my BT ID username I doubt it is my recovery email because it is a relatively newly created email address. I also can't find anywhere on my alone account my recovery email.
What can I do now?

Your recovery email address is found by logging onto your MyBT then Your Profile then Contact Details.

If you are following the correct procedure and it is still not letting you change it you will need to contact BT Billing 0330.1234.150 who should be able to help.
I called the number and there’s isn’t an option about problems with account
I called again and got through to someone. It should be changed in 3 working days
