Charged for not returning router when I did.

I returned my router about 4 weeks ago but today received a bill for 43 pounds saying I didn’t. Unfortunately I lost the proof of postage. I know the serial number of the router and it was retuned in the pre addressed white bag sent to me from BT. Is there anyway to track this? Customer service online chat showed little respect for time spending nearly three hours sending only 26 messages. Sometimes taking half an hour to continue a conversation. Doesn’t really show much respect for the customer when so little help is offered.

Re: Charged for not returning router when I did.

This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers and will not be able to deal with any issues relating to your account.

The only BT Employees are the forum moderators, who may offer to help, when everything else has been tried.

Try calling 0330 1234 150

You can message BT using the "message us" links on the help pages. That is usually effective.

Re: Charged for not returning router when I did.

As you have already contacted BT and found them to be unelpful and given that you have the serial number, it may be that it can be tracked after it was received I have notified the moderators of the forum about your problem.

Once they have read this they may be able to help. They will advise you by posting on this thread.
