I was with BT for years but I got moved over to EE. I have about 2 months left on contract but because of price increase I am leaving. I pay £12 (£17 in April) more for my plan than anyone who signs up now and of course the wont help, they don't have to I know but if I leave I can get a better price even when I've paid leaving fees I am pounds up. Do you think Iwould have a problem signing back upto BT or just move to another company.

If you were to move back to be BT from EE you would not be treated as a new customer.
You should look around and see what other ISs are offering and what is included in the offer such as any "free" items and once you have that information call the EE Retentions department and tell them you are going to move to another ISP and is there anything can they do to match the "new" ISP's offer.
You could also call BT sales, which is more or less the same department as EE and check to see what prices they can offer. I would not expect much as BT would rather you stayed with EE but if you don't ask you will never know if there is a better deal.
If BT/EE make an offer then you can decide whether or not it is worth moving.
Keep in mind if you move away from BT or EE if you have a BTMail account this will be "downgraded" to a free BTMail Basic account which can only be used with a web browser and not with an email client or email app such as you may be using on a mobile device unless you "upgrade" to a BTMail Premium email account at £7.50 per month.
Thank you for reply. I have tried ordering using ost but BT dont allow this. EE wont budge on price. Could I try ordering a new install?
You would be wasting your time trying that as you will be in the system as a BT/EE customer.
You may be able to order as a new customer if a member of your family becomes the "new" account holder but that may bring its own problems taking over the line.

What you may find is that, once you have demonstrated your willingness to actually move, the offers become more realistic. While wouldn't advocate messing a third-party about without a good reason, you could always cancel if EE sort themselves out and stick with EE.
When I renewed a few months ago , the price I was offered wasn’t that much different to what a new customer would get , so what products do you currently get (so profile speed , including telephone or not , and if telephone what calls plan etc ) and what is the renewal price they are asking ? , there may be some advantages to being a new customer if reward cards etc are on offer but usually the monthly price isn’t much different.
I am paying £48 £52 in April a month they offered same plan for £45. Same plan is offered on ee at £33. It is not all about money but I think the gap is to great. EE 900 no extras at all. Not bothered about reward cards just a fair price.

The whole ethos of one touch switching is you don't have to do anything.
About a month before your contract ends log on to plusnet and switch
They will contact EE and your contract will officially be over with EE
You then have two options, stay with plusnet (effectively still EE/BT) or within the two week cooling off leave plusnet and rejoin EE as a new customer.
Also I wouldn’t be too dismissive about the gift card as it's often around the £170 mark
@merrymouse Look on the comparison websites. I've just seen Plusnet full fibre 900mbps for around £23 a month cheaper than you'll be paying in April with no price rise until March 27. If you haven't got a phone, you are obviously clearly aware of the email situation and you're happy to switch using OTS, it's literally a no brainer with a very good Reward card offering too.
