Contract is expiring and im planning on moving to another brand. What do i do?

Hello my current broadband contract with BT is going to end tomorrow and am planning on moving to another brand what do i actually do? Do i have to wait for it to expire and then contact them that i want to cancel it and get a contract with the other company or can i right now go and get a contract with that other wifi company and they'll do everything?

Thanks

@Sab2024

Welcome to this user forum for BT Residential phone and broadband customers.

You must contact your new provider, and they will contact BT. Do not do it the other way around, as you may end up with a long period without a connection.

As VM do not use Openreach, you would have to cancel with BT yourself.
