I am an existing BT customer. I have never set up an online account. I have been advised to set up an account, to enable me to troubleshoot another problem. My first problem:
I go to BT.com to create an account.
I dont have a BT id
I enter my BT account no ( LN and numbers ) and I enter my name and DOB. It then seems to want to verify my details and presents me with a screen asking ‘we don’t have your email or mobile on our records’. i.e it can’t verify me - so now there’s nowhere else to go to edit or add said details. So how do you get an account / BT ID ?
seems I’m not the first to ask but I can’t seem to find an answer…. thanks in advance for thoughts!

Did you ever give BT an email address that they use to contact you? If you did are you using that email address when trying to set up the BTID.
Did you follow the procedure as per this link

using the link within the above "Create BTID now"
If you did and still can not set up a BTID you will need to call BT Billing 0330.1234.150 who should be able to help you set one up.
