Cut off after a "Sorry your leaving" letter

I'm looking for some advice with a connection problem my Dad is experiencing.

Mid-August he recevied a "sorry your leaving" letter, however as this wasnt the case he contacted BT about the mistake and the person they spoke to told him they'd put a block on this and assured him he wouldnt be cut off.

Surprise surprise, on the 19th of August his phone line and broadband stopped working. After reporting this to BT and after numerous BT and OpenReach Engineers have been out to his property to check the line etc, neither find any problem. The most recent Engineer reported the problem to be a "network issue on the OpenReach network", which my Dad and I both thought from the very beginning.

I was contacted BT Technical Help, who suggested contacting the BT Loyalty Team. After over an hour on the phone to them, he's still not back connected. In my mind this is a more technical problem to resolve, which the call centre workers dont have access to.

It's over 4 weeks since he's had no phone or broadband and we both seem to be going round in circles doing the same thing with the same unsuccessful result.

I think we need to speak to someone higher up that works with the server / database infrastruture.

Does anyone have any experience of a similar issue, and if so how did it get resolved?

Re: Cut off after a "Sorry your leaving" letter

Email the BT CEO. You will find her email address with an Internet search. List exactly what has happened and what has been or not been done to get your father reconnected.

She will not get your email but her gate guardians, the Executive Complaints Team will and they should be able to help get your father reconnected.
