Delayed wifi installation

Hi,

Ive booked to have bt wifi in our new flat for 23 May. When the engineer arrived, he said that BT didnt switched on the line. After that we were told to wait 2-3 days for them to switch it on. More than a month later, we are still waiting for the wifi. We are calling BT every few days, nobody is keeping us informed. Now they said it is a problem with openreach and they need to send an engineer. One week we were told that an engineer would come to have a look at the issue only to find out that the engineer never arrived and we had to wait another week.
Every time we call for news, they tell us to wait other 2-3 days and nothing seems to get done. I dont understand how there is a problem with the line now when it was prefectly working with the previous tenants.

it would be good to know if an engineer has actually been to have a look.
anyway, its been more than a month since the date we booked for the wifi installation and its been difficult working from home.
does anyone know what i can do to make the process faster?
