Cancelling BT contract for parent with Dementia

My mother has Dementia and has moved into a care home, we are about to complete the sale of her property, how do I cancel her BT phone line and broadband without incurring charges

Do you have power of attorney ?

Yes BT will ask proof the person has authority to act on the account

Hi @TALWI0 and welcome.

I'm sorry your mum is unwell. I'm sure we can help you with this. As your sister has power of attorney she can contact the customer service guys to sort this but if that doesn't suit ask her to register and post here and we'll be happy to help.
