Hi - My father is now in a care home with dementia. He is not capable of closing his BT account. Not clear how I can close it ? I have power of attorney.

Once BT receive the POA, you will be able to contact them to close the account.

Thank you Keith - Following your link I found POA email - Have contacted them. Dementia is becoming more of a problem. I think BT ought to make it more obvious how to deal with the them on behalf of the sufferer. It is an enormously stressful time for family and anything to smooth ' the paperwork' would be very helpful.

From what has been posted on other threads, once BT get the POA, they deal with it quite quickly.
