Looking for some help. My details were leaked in a data leak recently, presumably by EDF.
My Credit file showed that someone opened a BT account in my name at a completely unrelated address in London.
I rung BT fraud and they wasn’t very helpful. Reported it to exqifax but it’s been nearly a month and they have said that BT have confirm the details are correct but it’s in the hands of their fraud department. Equifax have closed my complaint and said they can’t do anything until BT investigate and remove the details.
I am going nuts as we are about to remortgage and this has affected my score!!!
what do I do?!!!
