Hello all, hope someone can help me here as there seems to be no number to call for inquiries.
Just moved into our 1st home and there only seems to be the option to get Full Fibre which I’m happy with. I know our area has full fibre which isn’t the issue. My issue is that I have no idea whether the house had full fibre previously or they would have to get it to the house. It doesn’t say when I’m ordering what the process is and I really don’t know what to do. I don’t want to be waiting weeks before I can get it installed etc. Any help would be appreciated, thank you
Use the address checker on the page below, and post the results, but edit out your address details first.

If there is no alternative the question is academic.
If the house had fibre previously, there will be a cable connected to an ONT ( optical modem)
The obvious ‘tell’ if the house has FTTP installed is the existence of an ONT , although occasionally muppets will take the ONT with them when they move out , but a CSP should exist ( Customer service point ) usually a grey Openreach box on an external wall , if FTTP is available but the address hasn’t yet taken a FTTP service, the method will be whatever the current copper pair service takes , so if telegraph poles and overhead cable , that’s how FTTP will be provided, if underground duct , that’s how FTTP will be provided , the only method worthy of note is if underground but with DIG ( direct in ground ) copper cables , then duct will need to be provided ( so an excavation needed ) ….the checker URL posted will show this information.
