Re: Home move to much slower soeed

Thanks.

So to be clear, I check that link often and wait for the fttc available date to change from "waiting list" to available? And then who would I contact to move onto the improved speed

Re: Home move to much slower soeed

If you check as often as you can, to see if the status has changed, then you simply place an order with BT, for an upgrade. You can either do it online, or ring up.

BT will then raise an order with Openreach, to upgrade your connection.

Quite often Openreach will be in the process of adding more ports to the cabinet, and its just a case of waiting for them to do that.

Ports can also become available when people move, or change to a different provider, as if they change to a different provider they lose their port, and end up having to wait. This can be quite a shock to some people, as they think they can keep their connection forever.

You may find that by the time you actually move in, a port will be available.

As an aside, have a look at 4/5G coverage at the new property as that may be a viable alternative.
