Morning all
I have two questions for you :
(1) When you change provider how soon after activation of new provider does final BT bill arrive?
(2) I understand the router we have from BT has to be returned to them in a prepaid bag which is sent by them. Does this happen automatically when your contract is ended with BT and they send one out for return before final bill is done hence avoiding charge for unreturned router or do we have to request one from BT immediately after new router is installed ourselves?

@Mattiesmomma You’ll probably get a final bill within four weeks of leaving. Do not cancel your direct debit until after the final bill has been paid and receipted for.
BT will send you a returns bag. Make sure you keep receipt of proof of posting and take a photo of it in case you lose it.
Thanks, so Bt automatically sent returns bag to is. Obviously want to send it back before final bill is sent. Did you do this?
Hey there @Mattiesmomma
Once your service with your new provider activates, the cancellation will automatically go through at our end and your final bill will be produced in 7-10 days.
We don't have access to accounts via these forums, but any equipment returns bags should be sent automatically alongside your cancellation too.
