Hello,
I want to cancel broadband because the price was already high and it keeps getting higher.
So I'm trying to find out what that entails and if there is a cost involved.
The chatbot says this information is on my bill.
It isn't.
I look all across MyBT and the app - not only is this information not there - it doesn't even give any info at all on cancelling an account.
Obviously the reason why you don't carry this info is obvious - but it's also immoral.
So, I am stuck on hold for forever.
So, two questions:
1. How can you be this bad/immoral
2. How do I terminate my broadband contract and will it cost me.
Thank you
if you are still in your fixed term contract then as an approx figure of cost just take monthly cost time number months left on contract
You just need to click on the link that I posted and scroll down the page until you come to the part that tells you how any charges are worked.
You then work out how much you would be charged!
Once you've followed the link posted and decided to leave, the best way to do this is to sign up for a service and have them do the leaving for you. On a side note, though, as my contract comes closer to its end, I'm starting to see that the price of renewal is dropping. It's not sufficient that I'll stay—yet, but if it falls far enough, I may do!
It's amazing that no provider allows you to cancel online, almost as if there's a reason & a specific process that can be followed anyway
