I feel scammed by my renewal options

So i need to renew my BT broadband for November, i'm happy to do so as the service has been great with few downtimes across my time with BT.

HOWEVER i'm only being offered a migration to EE, which would be ok except i'm on Fibre 250, i end up having to download a lot of things and i'm happy paying the price to do so and the only migration options i'm being offered are considerably slower, not just slower but the same price i'm paying for my current speeds.

Am i going crazy? Have i somehow misinterpreted a deal that's offering 80mbs with 60mb guarantee is somehow worth the same as a deal that currently gives me 285mbs with 150mb guarantee?? Like, please, tell me something's gone wrong here because i feel really hard done by here.

Those prices are outrageous!!

To put in context, I'm with *** and pay £39 for 500mbps on Openreach fibre

Re: I feel scammed by my renewal options

This is madness!
You could try calling the retentions department and arguing the case but you might not get any satisfaction from them.
Probably best just to let your contract expire and go onto a month to month basis, which should keep your current speeds and price (assuming your contract didn't have a discount built in)
You can always swich to a contract later if a better offer comes up - which it probably will.
