I've been wanting to order a BT broadband deal but I don't know if the Home Tech Expert install is something I need to add to the order because it says this in the details about it, so will I need to add this to my order as well or will an Openreach engineer already set me up fine with no extra cost?

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
Copper based broadband is self install, and unless for any reason you do not have a phone socket, an Openreach Field Technician will not visit unless it fails activation.
This would not cost any extra.
A home Tech Expert is optional if you want someone to setup all your devices.
Thanks for the reply, I'm looking to order a full fibre deal with the complete wifi disc and we have a phone socket, so will that mean an engineer will do everything necessary to have internet access?
I won't need a home tech expert unless they setup the hub to enable internet access.
A full fibre connection does not use your phone socket, its totally different and does need a visit.

Ah I see, thanks so much for the help!
