Leaving

Go to solution

So I'm due to move in a few days, current home has BT FTTP, the new one does not and may not for a couple of years. There is an alt-net there we have signed up to.

Why is BT's services geared towards you moving home with them, and not leaving as an extra option?

I guess I'll have to try phoning them but I hate doing so.

You can only cancel your service via phone. If you are still in contract, you will have early cancellation fees to pay.

You'll be out of contract after the 30 days notice then.

So, speaking as someone that's also considering leaving...how does that square with this one-touch, gaining provider led business then?

The op said he had already signed up with an alt-net at a different property so presumably they are not a party to OTS.

I'm sure @iniltous will be along to clarify.
