Apparently BT has secured my account for my own security

Hi Guys

I get the code / the pin and all other nonsense.

Every time I try to click the reset button a white circle with a line

going through it prevents any action. There is no suspicious

activity. Just BT wanting me to set up their new security

protocols. I accessed it this morning before 'BT' went

into 'over zealous' mode.

Re: My BT Problems

@cedgewrote:

I refuse to ring them and waste my time as this seems to be a global issue affecting all of their customers.

No its not a global issue. I am a BT customer and it's not affecting me or other people I know who use BT.

Re: My BT Problems

Apologies if this has been covered in the thread before but I’ve just thought could it only be affecting customers on legacy products that bt no longer sells

take my situation as an example I’m on the old “tnt sports on sky without broadband” package and have been since 2017, bt no longer sells this package so I wondered if the migration has failed to transfer over legacy accounts

it would be good if a moderator or someone with the access to do so could flag the above to the relevant people just in case it is the reason some of us are experiencing this issue

Re: My BT Problems

I have full fibre halo 900mpbs package and as its my mother in laws account that goes back 50 odd years you might be right, she used to work for BT in Bedford and would not change as they pay her pension.  I am added as the contact for her account and she has agreed that its been a mess and when our contact ends in August we are going to leave .   I tried again this morning and still the account shows as inactive.

Re: My BT Problems

The problem with MyBT has been affecting me and the response thusfar does seem disappointing.

Re: My BT Problems

I’ve been reading this thread with some interest to the point that I thought I’d give the BT App another go. I’ll make it clear, I’m no longer a BT customer, I haven’t been for over a year now since switching ISP, but, I downloaded the App again (I used it previously as a BT customer), and I’ve successfully logged back in after not accessing it for over 12 months. Just required an email verification and a brand new updated password. So I can now see my old account, view my old bills going back 15 months and generally, I don’t see a problem with it.

Re: My BT Problems

Has anyone having issues managed to get it sorted yet? I really need to get my billing sorted and this is getting stupid now.

Re: My BT Problems

Isn’t it about time a moderator got involved in this as those who I have spoken to online at BT have been zero help
