Hello,
My Mam sadly passed away in July. My younger sister and myself are living in her home, and she had an incoming telephone line only. The router used to connect it all was mine, as well as the telephone itself. I donated it some years back. My brother closed her bank months ago, but we received no letters from BT until November. I assumed as my Mam and Dad had the same number for 38 years, that the incoming calls must be free.
After receiving the letter las month, I rang up to let them know. They closed her account and today we've received a last bill. It's really vague and not itemised. So I rang up, and they said I should have informed them earlier and they can only backdate 2 weeks. They said it was in Mam's terms and conditions, to which I replied that it would be a bit difficult to read what was in her contract as the account is closed and I have no documentation. Please can anyone help to get this bill nullified. BT are the only company who haven't backdated a bill.
