My BT contract expired a few months ago and I wanted to take the time to weigh up my options.
I called BT this morning and was told that all BT customers would eventually migrate to EE. The person looked at the deals and came back with a £1 saving when moving over. This was despite dropping unlimited calls for which I made 2 calls last month. This should have been a £18 saving however they told me EE didn’t have the same deal.
in addition I went over to EE and after entering my requirements it did indeed come in nearly £16 cheaper!
If I deal with EE direct will I be regarded as a new customer? It feels like I’m being stiffed despite being a customer for 30+ years with BT!
Solved! Go to Solution.
@jaymorley I believe you should ask for the Sales and Retention team.
try phoning retentions as @zulu17 suggested and see what you can negotiate 08007831401
Thanks. When they called back I asked them to list what was included in the bundle. When I highlighted that what was now being listed was £10 more expensive than what the BT website was telling me the rep suddenly claimed there was a £10 sim he hadn’t seen, which he was taking off!
I’ve now migrated, I’m really happy with the service. The speeds have improved (which they were great anyway) however a couple of problem areas that even complete WiFi disc didn’t resolve, are now perfect. That said dealing with the rep left a really bad taste with the feeling I was about to be ripped off!
