Moving from BT to KCOM

Go to solution

I have moved from BT ( broadband and landline) to KCOM who have just started to provide services in my area. I have asked BT to port my number over but have been told that it is not possible as KCOM are ' a monopolized company' at least that is what seems to be said. I have phoned BT several times and got nowhere, KCOM have said that the number can be ported. In the meantime, I have no landline at all, and don't want to hang on forever trying to get through on a mobile. This has been going on for over a month and clearly, I can't be contacted by anyone who only has my landline number. Can anyone help?

You need to deal with KCOM as they are the gaining provider, you can't deal with BT, KCOM need to do that and them you need to chase.

Yeah, KCOM have asked more than once, but nothing seems to have happened. I'm just very frustrated at being left with no landline.

Trying to contact BT will just muddy the waters, keep chasing KCOM.
