Moving from BT to Talktalk

Good morning everyone,

I have just signed up to Talktalk broadband, I heard that when I sign up to my new provider, my existing BT fibre will cancel automatically. Is this correct, and if not, what do I do, I don't want to have two fibre accounts running at the same time, as I've asked Talktalk to take over my fibre the day after my contract offically ends.

Thanks in advance

John

Re: Moving from BT to Talktalk

That is what should happen as TT would have notified BT that they are taking over the connection.

Re: Moving from BT to Talktalk

Hi,

This is what I am hoping, I know when you go from ADSL/VDSL to FTTP it doesn't always happen, and it didn't when I moved from VDSL when Taltkalk didn't offer full fibre in the area and went to BT, I just don't want a repeat of the same when I get talktalk to do their bit in a months time.

Thank you anyways.

John

Re: Moving from BT to Talktalk

If TT are using Openreach then your BT service is ceased by virtue of TT taking over , you should get a sorry to see you leave communication from BT if TT have done the migration correctly.
