Ok so i'm a BT customer of over 25 years and paying for out of contract Fibre with BT Halo 3 at £48.99 pcm.
We're moving house on 15th May and wish to transfer my package BUT; Guess what? my package will then cost just the same for a 24 month contract! What's the issue I hear you say?
The ISSUE is that a good friend and work colleague of mine gets Fibre 900 at much less than that and far better connection!
Can someone here that is actually with BT Customer Services explain?

This is a customer to customer forum, there are no BT customer service employees here, you’ll only get general advice.
Remaining a BT customer is mostly a choice, there are other ISP’s available if you think you’re getting a poor deal. Obviously, if you’re already tied into a contract, you’ll probably have to ride it out. Halo 3 won’t be doing you any favours price wise.
Don’t think that being a long standing customer will secure you any special deals either. Best of luck.
if you are out of contract then why not just terminate BT contract and start a new contract with another provider who can give your faster connection and better deal. As out of contract there are no cancellation charges
