Moving to a new address , but BT broadband is not available

I am moving to a new house in another county . The property is 4 years old  and has (according to the property details ) a "Sky  Socket".

According to BT's "availability" search function - and everyone apart from Sky - no broadband provision is available at the house.

Presumably, when i contact BT they will have to cancel my existing contract without penalty ? Seems the obvious answer to me, but this is BT that we are talking about..... I can't seem to find anything on the BT web site which tells me what their stance is likely to be.

Both Sky and BT Retail use Openreach, so there is no reason at all why you cannot transfer your existing BT service to your new address. There is no such thing as a Sky socket, it will just be a standard Openreach master socket bringing in the external line.

BT would not allow you to cancel without penalty. Just follow the BT home move process.
