I have recently taken a 7 day free trial for NOW TV Boost, but I want to cancel. It looks like I cannot cancel online - could you please advise how to cancel? Surely this doesn't adhere to consumer rights? It mentioned that it can be cancelled at any time.

Hi, @srobertson73 welcome to the community, have you tried to cancel it on your Now TV account?
Thanks
Neil
Neil,
Thanks for the reply. As the NOW TV Boost was for a 7 day trial, there is no way to cancel it online. You can only cancel it online after the 7 day trial period expires and you pay for a month.
Therefore, the only way I found to cancel it was to create a support chat, and following security checks, some questions.. the support person was able to cancel it for me. It takes about 20-30minutes, so it's not ideal.
This doesn't happen with other subscriptions during free trials (e.g. Netflix, Apple TV, etc).. so I raised a complaint that this should be highlighted before any free trial is purchased.
Thanks
Scott
Thanks for getting back to us @srobertson73.
That is not good at all as you are supposed to be able to cancel free trials before they run out.
If you've taken a pass through NOW they give this advice on how to cancel:
"Head to NOW Membership, hit Cancel membership next to the one you don’t want any more, then follow the onscreen steps. (We recommend using a desktop, laptop or tablet to do this rather than a mobile.)"
I'm not sure if you tried a desktop view rather than mobile view. In any case, I am just glad that it has been stopped for you now.
Thank you

I am also having the same problem. I only subscribed to the free 7 day trial period as now TV wouldn't play in my caravan as it usually does. It was saying I was streaming on 2 devices which I definitely wasn't. I've been going round and round in circles trying to cancel and have now been charged £6 on this month's bill for something I don't want. I tried ringing BT but was in a queue with a 45 minute wait, absolutely abysmal service.
Have eventually managed to get through on the phone and boost is now cancelled but not being able to cancel online as stated when I signed up is very poor. I've paid a month's subscription for nothing.
