New BT Broadband contract price query have i been overpriced

So i have just had renew my mothers BT broadband contract due to expire next week, her current deal had Ballooned to over £80 a month through price increases over the last 2 years when it started low £70's.

She was on fibre 100, 700 free minutes and month and BT Sport. we were told to keep that exact same package it would be £83 pounds per month so we had to remove BT Sport to bring it down to £65.

It just seemed a expensive So i went looking at Broadband deals on the BT website and and from what i saw Fibre 100 with phone is £40 a month so i made a customized package including 700 free minutes and i came to £42 a month.

I thought that line rental was now included in the overall price of broadband packages sold so if that's the case i'm not seeing why there is such a difference in what i was quoted over the phone compared to that price unless that price does not included line rental. £65 vs £42 is a huge difference.

I just signed up for that package so i have 14 days to get out of it so i need to understand before i go forward

line rental is included in all BT Broadband packages

If That is the case Fibre 100 plus 700 free minutes and complete wifi should cost £52 pounds if im not mistaken

Can you confirm to me that should be the price of that package please? I just signed up for a contract and was told it would cost £65.
