I chose BT for my broadband primarily because of the £50 reward card offer. After signing up and waiting the required period, I still heard nothing about my reward.
I contacted BT several times trying to chase this up and received every possible excuse under the sun from delays with the provider to, you'll get in next week .
Skip forward to last month, because I'm an absolute **bleep** and love pain, when complaining about this to BT, I was offered an upgrade (I know, the cheek of it) and I actually accepted because I needed the speed and another £75 reward was offered.
Thankfully, this one seems to be progressing properly and I might actually get it (hooray!)
The reason I am at my wits end now is after enquiring to BT again to chase up my reward card from last year! The agent says "Unfortunately your not getting the £50 because were giving your the £75 and you can't have two.
This seems absolutely ridiculous and surely a mis-sale then. I bought BT originally because of the card and should have received it long before I upgraded and became eligible for the £75. Now, seemingly because they can't figure this debacle out, they've just decided to say "oops, you're not getting it" but I really don't think that's acceptable nor how it works when it comes to sales anyway.
I give mercy to the agents involved here because they're probably just as sick of this as I am and just want me off the phone.
BT on the other hand, it seems I'm not the only one to have issues like this and it's pretty shocking for such a staple company to act like this, I know it's just incompetence but if it was anyone else I'd think I'd just been done over.
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Funnily enough, just got resolved after I posted this.
I guess they are sick of me, £50 added to the bill instead of the card. Oh well
I leave this up in case you have the same issue. If I were you and you don't receive it after the 45 days, nag the heck out of them and don't accept excuses because if it's not sorted in a certain amount of time it seems BT loose the ability to add the card for you so better get it resolved quick.
