Ok to stay with BT

Allison Kirkby, CEO has stated that BT and EE can co-exist with consumers choosing who to stay with. Her argument was that older consumers identify with Busby and Beattie advertising campaigns and strengthening a feeling of trust in the BT brand. This is interesting as my contract is up for renewal and talking to an agent the philosophy was BT for business and EE for residential contracts. Does this change the landscape and will EE brand offer cheaper prices as an incentive to move? Plusnet is also in the rebranding. Interesting and also confusing times for EE/BT.

Re: Ok to stay with BT

I have just renewed my BT contract for another two years at the same price as last year - EE wanted more money for the same service so clearly BT is now the "budget" brand of BT/EE.

Some more details on this brand u-turn by BT/EE:

Re: Ok to stay with BT

I have downloaded the price tariffs guide for both EE and BT and they are maximum prices so deals may be had. After the April price increases have filtered through I will negotiate a deal but it depends upon who you speak to on the day.
