I have just upgraded to the latest version of the iOS My BT app and I am being sent into an endless spiral without being able to access our account. I have been trying to view our latest bill since last Friday. I am being sent access codes to my phone, but I am still unable to login. It appears to me that something has gone wrong with the update.

Hi, I'm having a similar issue logging into MyBT on a web browser I for the life of me can't contact anyone which is disappointing.

I can't remember my password so when I try to reset it, I get as far as validating my identity and being able to enter a new password however when I click "update password", I'm presented with a message saying "Unable to validate the information provided". I have tried different password variations but still the same message. Even tried incognito window. 

It's needs to be sorted asap because I have the Norton Password Manager which, too often in my opinion, logs you out and because I can't remember the MyBT password, I can't log back into it to retrieve all the other passwords

Anyone out there that can help?

@mattdeluca  It's only a suggestion, but rather than using the Norton Password Manager on your PC, try using Microsoft password manager in the Edge browser instead of being at the mercy of Norton to get at your passwords.  I mostly use Brave browser for my PC used passwords, but the MS Edge browser password manager will be equally as good.

The latest app version is terrible but it seems to be working now if intermittently. Spoken to BT who are aware if the issues.

I am still unable to login to My BT to access our latest bill and check other things relating to our account. What on earth is going on?

Instead of using the MyBT app try using the MyBT web page, you can get it by clicking on the button at the top of this page, to see if you can access your MyBT that way.

@gg30340 Thanks, but I’ve tried that too to no avail. We had an electrical fault in the house which meant no broadband for 3 days. I’ve just come back on here to see that nothing has changed.

As you may be aware there was a change made to the security when logging on to MyBT and BTMail where by you now have Two Factor Authentication activated which results in a PIN code being needed to complete the log on.

This has caused problems for some users whereby they can not get logged on.  BT are aware of the problem and are apparently working on a fix however the timescale for this fix for all users is presently not know.

I would suggest that you contact BT Billing 0330.1234.150 and report the problem there. I don't think they will be able to fix the issue there and then but at the least they will know that the problem is still ongoing and in particular to your account. 

You could also lodge a complaint regarding the problem which has now been ongoing for some time.
