I have an invitation to renew my existing fibre 1 service. The online offer in my account is for the same as I'm paying now. However, when I go through the ordering process the offer price increases by £1. I know it's only £1 but I would expect the offer price to be honoured.
Before I contact BT to enquire, any ideas why this is? Thanks.
My renewal e-mail arrived today. It says - "Keep your current contract. If you’re happy with your package, you won’t have to do a thing." The re-contracting offers range from £3 to £9 a month more for Halo 3 which offers nothing extra that I want. So I shall stay on the existing Fibre 1, out of contract. That means I can move to another provider without penalty.
It also says - "You can upgrade to one of our new offers or renew your current contract. " Why I would want to renew my current contract, when I can stay out of contract at the same monthly charge, is beyond me.
Am I missing something?

Could be a discounted calling plan, many long term customers will have discounted My Anytime Calls, check you previous bills if you're unsure.
It's Fibre 1 Richie, I have LRS for basic landline service and the discounted Fibre is the only billed item each month.
I'll probably give them a call to enquire about the £1 addition!
