SWITCHING FROM BT TO EE FULL FIBRE

I hope this is in the correct section and hope someone can offer advice

I Am currently on BT Halo 3+ full fibre 900 with complete WiFi (2 discs) and hybrid connect

When in the BT app I am being offered a switch to EE full fibre 1gb, currently at no extra charge per moth (albeit yesterday it was £7 dearer!!)

The EE package seems to contain both WiFi discs and hybrid connect

However back to my query, if I take the offer in the future would I be required to return all my BT equipment?

Also would BT cancel my digital voice call package when I switch?

It does seem BT are slowly pushing everyone to EE which is fine by me as my Mobile SIM plan is with EE

Re: SWITCHING FROM BT TO EE FULL FIBRE

Yes they ask you to return the BT equipment and say they will charge you after X number of days if not returned (or certainly they asked me to)

Yes they will cancel your digital voice, I forgot to ask about this when switching to EE and found out the hard way. Had a a free "PAYG" digital voice BT package that came with full fibre 900. EE want to charge £5 for the same product.

Yeah dont bother unless you are forced to. Could end up with loads of problems.

Also you can not keep your phone number you will get a new number.

Re: SWITCHING FROM BT TO EE FULL FIBRE

Judging by the number of horror stories reported on this forum about customers who have accepted a BT to EE offer, I would ignore this for the time being.
BT still does not seem to have sorted out a large number of problems with their BT to EE migration, and we've heard of people losing broadband service for days (or even in some cases weeks) with BT/EE seemingly unable to resolve the issue.
BT's telephone agents get commission for converting people from BT to EE and some are, pardon the expression, "economical with the truth" in their keeness to get the customer converted

Thanks, I’m in contract with BT until March 2026, so will wait for the time being.
