Round about 5th March 2022 I requested to SKY to take over my Broadband and Telephone and they contacted BT informing them they were taking over and BT services are no longer required by me.
I received a conformation email as follows:
Another service provider has told us you want to move your broadband over to them on 17-Mar-2022. So we're taking this as notice that you want to stop broadband and any dependent services with us on that date.
I rang BT to say Sky was also going to take over the phone and the above email did say any dependent service that included telephone as well.
I kept getting a Bill and I kept ringing them they told me their parent partner OPEN RICH is very slow in updating my record so please not to worry.
This kept going on and now they are asking me for nearly £500 as outstanding bill.
Can anyone help

Its quite possible that you were still in contract with BT when you moved to Sky, and the bill you are receiving from BT is for cancellation charges.
Did you check that you were out of contract with BT when you moved to Sky?
