Standard broadband and G Fast
Hi, I have G Fast broadband 250 which I've had for the last four years, I also have Halo 3. I have found the price now quite prohibitive. It comes up for renewal at the end of next month.
My question is, can I downgrade to Firbre 2 72-73Mbps or is this not possible with G Fast? Could I keep my present speed without Halo 3, I'm not sure how much this extra is. I have only had to use the backup when my broadband was out twice, and on one of these occasions EE was out also, so it wasn't any use. I don't have FFTP in my area.
I have contacted customer services but they have been unable to help.
Any input would be much appreciated.
Keith

Re: Standard broadband and G Fast
Halo 3 has absolutely no bearing on speed, it is purely a benefits package.
From a technical perspective, you can downgrade to fibre2 rather than G.Fast but I have no idea how that is accomplished as BT seem to make it extremely difficult to downgrade packages.

liquorice I realise Halo 3 has nothing to do with speed it's a benefits add-on. If I cannot download my package then my only option is to go to another provider, which I didn't really want to do.
