Switching from BT Broadband to EE Broadband

I am considering switching from BT Broadband to EE Broadband and try and get onto a cheaper package. I have at present Halo 3+ with BT, I think this is at present preventing me doing so. Can I have Halo 3+ removed so I can switch to EE?

I am on Halo 3 and an agent offered me Fibre 500. There was no mention of keeping to a Halo package.
