I'm currently half way through a BT Broadband contract.
Since EE merged with BT I frequently get encouraged to switch to EE
Can you switch to EE when only half way through a BT contract or will there be a penaly from BT for switching?
If done through BT , then apparently there is no ETC , if you simply signed up to EE independently, without contacting BT , then it would be no different to joining any other ISP mid ‘contract’ …..call and ask if you want to join EE with BT’s consent
Thanks,
When I try to do it via my My BT account it takes me to EE but only shows a choice of 2 packages.
If I then navigate the EE site I can find other deals.
Can I still sign up to the other deals or only the 2 packages I am offered from the BT Link?
I basically get to this page - https://ee.co.uk/broadband but when clicking on "already got BT Broadband" I only get offered the 2 choices.
If I click on "See all Your Broadband Deals" it shows be lots more, but if I sign up via going that route will it treat me as a new customer and I might end up having to pay BT for switching?
I just started the process and it appears to treat you like a new customer so I won't risk it.
Is there a way of seeing other offers when using the switching procees or is it just the ones they show you?
If phoning to ask about switching, is it best to phone BT or EE?
I would phone BT not EE in case EE treat you like a new customer then BT chase you for ETC
just switching from BT to EE mid contract may be a problem unless you upgraded at same time
Why switch?
If you do you'll probably be on a new 24 month contract which may or may not be what you want.
Personally unless there was a decent financial advantage I'd suggest you stay where you are.
My phone is due for an upgrade and I'm wondering if switching from BT to EE would open up some good deals.
Also, rather than upgrading, I'd like to downgrade
It appears BT make it very difficult to downgrade, so was thinking it might be easier when switching, doesn't appear to be though, they only offer a very similar package.
