TV package Renewal Offer

Go to solution

I am 90+ and need some help please in understanding  a renewal offer for my TV packages. I am currently on BigSport @£48 a month and TNT Sports @£.88 a month. I also have HD for all available programmes.

I am looking at the new offer for FULL WORKS at £69 a month which seems to include TNT Sports and HD.

Does this mean can cancel the current TVT and HD packages if I upgrade ?

Thanks for any help.

Hi @tuanton5

The Big Sport TV Package you have would include both TNT Sports and  (Now) Sky Sports. You mention currently  paying £48 / month.  A typical addon for these channels in HD would be around £6 per month.

So it would be surprising  if you had a further charge for TNT SPORTS

You  would also have a broadband contract and would need to continue to have one with BT or EE for the TV service. I wonder whether that is the £88 /month You mention  you are currently  paying.

Unfortunately  the moderation  team don't have account  access but i will alert them to this thread.

Re: TV package Renewal Offer

Hi @tuanton,

Thanks for visiting the BT Community

Glad to hear you are looking at new TV packages, though it definitely can be confusing.

The Full Works package does include Now Entertainment, Now Cinema, Now Sports, TNT Sports and discovery+, Netflix standard plan and the freeview channels. Now content is in HD as the Now TV boost is included and HD add-on for the rest is also included.

So yes the Full Works package would include both HD and TNT Sports and so you would no longer need to pay for the separate add-ons. Though as mentioned if you are on Big Sport currently you should not be charged separately for TNT Sports anyway at the moment.

It may be best to login to your MyBT and click the Your Package section, or just check the latest bill in the Billing and Usage section just to have a double check over your current package to make sure you are aware of what you are being charged currently before changing to a new package. Because as mentioned you should not be paying extra for TNT Sports on the Big Sport package.

If there is any additional questions you have or any further support you need before taking out your package just let us know and we will help.

Alex

Apologies... both members who responded are correct. I quoted incorrect details. I am currently paying 85.33 for all my packages and as advised the BigSport includes the TNT etc. I am considering upgrading to FullWorks package and have secured a small discount but not yet decided what to do. I will persue investigation of the individual package add-ons. Thanks again for responding,
