I've been told that I can't upgrade directly from Home Essentials to Fibre 250 as the system won't allow it even though gfast is available. Any solutions to this?

fibre 250 not available on home essentials so need to end home essentials and take a standard cost plan which is more expensive
So if I move onto a standard package first I should then be able to upgrade to Fibre 250?

Odd as I've been with BT for nearly a year:
There is no data available for this number. This could be either because it is not a BT line or it is a new BT number that has just been provided. Most new numbers will appear on the checker 24 hours after BT has installed the line
do you have digital voice as that explains why does not recognise number. try using your address
that confirms GFAST available so try phoning options team 0800800030 or retentions 08007831401 and see if either of them can help change from home essentials to standard package
