Hi
I used to work from home so have 2 landlines to the home - first with the main house number and the second for WFH with a BT internet connection - having now retired i want to reconfigure my BT services and upgrade to full fibre.
What i want is for the full fibre internet service to be on the main land line number (to keep the number that all my friends and family know) and to cease the second land line as its not needed.
Seems simple to me
However the BT team say i cant do that.
They say I can upgrade the second line to full fibre and cease the main land line - loosing the number which misses the point.
Any suggestions
PS my internet contract ends on the 15th December
You haven't said what broadband service is on the line used as the main house number.
The internet is Halo 3 over copper wire to the house
Cease the WFH line and once that is ceased, upgrade the main line.
Don't mention the main line when ceasing the second line.
Apologies
Didnt read your query correctly
The main house line doesnt have4 the internet connection.
The internet is on the wfh line
In that case, add fibre broadband to the first line and once up and running, cease the second.
The main thing is not to link the 2 operations.
