I’ve been trying to get BT broadband but due to my house having no previous infrastructure for BT cables my order has been cancelled. However my surrounding areas have BT access and they were all initially locked out from using BT for the first two years (all these house that were built 5/6 years ago and were built with the OFNL infrastructure and the contract was only for the first two years).
Anyways open reach directly called me up this morning and told me due to OFNL locking us out for the first two years BT couldn’t delivery the services but they mentioned that because the contract has Expired that they are willing to put the infrastructure in after doing a site survey. They then asked me to contact BT and told them to get a site survey done to see what they can do. BT ran some test on my address and decided to order a PSTN line. So far I havnt got any confirmation email can anyone help?
Also here are some questions on my mind regarding about this any advice would be much appreciated 😁
1. Why havnt I got the confirmation email has the order failed?
2. Whats happens if the order failed whats the possible steps moving forwards?
3. I have BT full fibre underground ducking (30 feet away from house/ will attach a photo) can that be brought up to my premises and how will that be possible done (can they run the cables through the OFNL underground ducking by any chance)?
Also please note that other address near me (that had the same OFNL Contracts with the developer) has BT access. Postcode for that is BS34 5AW (will attach a bt broadband availability checker as well with my address served by cabinet 23/ BS34 5TZ).
