Why can't my order complete?

We've been trying to switch over to the new digital phone line. As you can see from the picture below we instructed the switch over in October 2024. After 5 failed attempts to turn up to the property then another to correct the mess that was made we are still unable to alter our phone contract and broadband package.

Talking to phone support has been impossible. No one will allows to discuss changing packages or have any conversation until the switch over is complete. An engineer has completed the work now. But the online system won't let us progress!

We are on a Fibre with BT Halo 1 package which is far far too expensive and we are not sure why we are even on this package. We can't afford it, and for the last 6 months! we have been unable to get an engineer out to perform the work (now complete), no one will discuss ANYTHING over the phone and the website is in a state of purgatory.

I am truly at my wits end. 

Our contract has expired but we can't change because the system won't allow us. No one will talk to us because the system won't allow them. What on earth is wrong?

oh..... and no one can phone our house. It doesn't ring. ðŸ˜‚ but we can call out.

Welcome to the community. We'll do our best to help you.

I know you've said that our Customer Support team couldn't discuss it until the work was carried out, but have you tried speaking with them since the engineer work was completed? Hopefully, they're in a position where they can help get the renewal sorted for you now, help get your landline working and discuss the experience that you've had this past six months.

Hi @Christopher_G, I haven't tried since the engineer completed the work. I can't face calling again.

Six months, five failed appointments, total stonewalling from customer support. It has been completely exhausting, demoralising and upsetting not to mention expensive. This has truly been one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. 

I have zero faith in the person answering my call that they will even acknowledge any issues. Or that they will send out. yet another engineer.

use the link and then the consumer email address to complain as you are getting nowhere with CS
